Carina Seth Andersson

Swedish designer Carina Seth Andersson is recognised for her refined glass and ceramic works defined by restraint and balance. With a process rooted in reduction and proportion, she creates objects that feel both contemporary and timeless. Her work has been exhibited internationally and forms part of major museum collections, reflecting a distinctly Scandinavian sensibility grounded in quiet elegance.

Carina Seth Andersson is a Swedish designer known for her distinctive yet purposeful glass and ceramic work. Her design process is about scaling-back, finding the balance between simplicity and meaningful form to result in pieces that have a timeless quality. Carina works with commissions from a wide range of Scandinavian and International design producers including Iittala, Hackman, Skruf, CBI, Svenskt Tenn AB, Marimekko and Fogia. She works with public installations as well as ongoing limited edition productions produced in her Gustavsberg studio.

Originally graduating with an MFA from Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Carina continues to be involved in education as a senior lecturer of Beckmans School of Design in Product Design department, and is frequently invited to teach and give lectures at design universities in Sweden. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York, Washington, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, London, Berlin, Helsinki, Stockholm, Tokyo and Osaka. Her pieces are also part of the permanent collections at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen.
