Original and bursting with personality, the Ouverture sofa was designed by Pierluigi Cerri in the early 1980s. An emblematic prototype of the cutting-edge aesthetic that would revolutionise interior design, Ouverture evokes industrial and metropolitan atmospheres.
In fact, the protagonist of this system of seats and tables is a perforated steel beam which forms the structure to which soft goose down padding is attached.
The shell of the Ouverture sofa is made from structural steel coated with metallic aluminium grey varnish, sitting on a steel beam varnished in the same way as the rest of the structure. The feet run along the beam and are therefore flexible in terms of their positioning. The seat springs consist of an elastic suspension system. The seat, backrest and armrest cushions are padded in goose down and have a polyurethane foam stabilising insert. The table top is available in lead-polished black granite, Float glass with matt treatment or polyester-polished slate. The sofa is upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric.
