Michele De Lucchi born in Ferrara in 1951, he graduated in architecture in Florence where he was Adolfo Natalini’s assistant. Since 1978, he has been working with Sottsass in Milan and he is one of the founding members of Memphis. Since 1979, he has worked as a design consultant for Olivetti Synthesis and, since 1981, for Olivetti.
He has taught in the architecture department at Palermo University and at Cranbrook University in Detroit. He has received the Good Design prize and the Compasso d'Oro Silvia Suardi born in Bergamo/Italy in 1967, studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and at the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura in Sevilla/Spain. Currently, Silvia Suardi is living and working in Milan. She writes about design and architecture and collaborates with different magazines (Interni, Ufficio Stile,...), in 2002 she wrote a book “DOPOTOLOMEO“ about Michele De Lucchi which was published by SKIRA/Milano. She held conferences about design history in Milan and Seoul/Korea. Since 1995 she collaborates with Michele De Lucchi for the clients as follows: Mandarina Duck, Banca Popolare di Lodi, Scuderie Papali del Quirinale in Rome, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, Triennale di Milano, Poltrona Frau, etc. Since 2001, Sezgin Aksu and Silvia Suardi have started working as a group for Italian and international companies in the field of product designs, interior and corporate image.
