Lella Vignelli was born in Udine and graduated in architecture in Venice. Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied architecture in Milan and Venice. Their work includes graphic design, corporate image work for industry, signs and industrial design; they design furniture, interiors and exhibition installations.
 
Originally based in Milan and since 1965 in New York, the studio works with some of the most important american and European companies and institutions.
