Poltrona Frau upholstered the new Business and First Class seats for Singapore Airlines.

The goal? To enhance the brand’s identity by combining technology, comfort and elegance in the Poltrona Frau style while respecting all the constraints of the technical and safety specifications.

Two seats were developed in collaboration with two studios with which Poltrona Frau has long-term relationships. The "First" seat is modelled on a famous living room product: the Pillow armchair.

In line with the visual identity of the entire aircraft, Poltrona Frau designed a dark taupe coloured leather embellished with contrasting beige stitching and piping. The sides of the armrests have a magazine “pocket” and the backrest cushions guarantee very high levels of comfort.

The “Business” seat prioritises intimacy and privacy with sinuous and modern lines and strong stylistic features typical of luxury cars. All of this is combined with the absolute comfort of the aubergine-coloured premium leather which on the sides of the cushions has special “micro rhombus” embossed piping: another detail tailor-made for the Asian company. The tactility of the embossing and the vibrant colour of the piping give the seats a highly dynamic feel.
