The entire European Parliament and the large semicircular assembly room was fitted out with over 5000 seats, together with tables and benches equipped with telephony, data and electronic voting systems. The armchair created by Avant Travaux was produced with or without armrests and accessories and in a version for the disabled. Apart from the seating, all the furnishings for the semicircular room and the meeting rooms were made specially to order.

The building stands at the continental crossroads, centered over the river; its hemicycle holds 750 seats and 29 meeting rooms for a total capacity of 2,690 people. Poltrona Frau’s Custom Interiors Business Unit was given the challenge of furnishing all these spaces, a commission that took three years of work by a dedicated team of specialized professionals.
