The Xi lamps, in blown glass and leather, rock gently in space like lanterns. The lighting body pairs two blown‑glass elements. The upper glass, with a distinctive regular fluted surface, is transparent and coloured in amber, emerald, sapphire or moonstone tones. The lower white glass in pearl finish renders the light warm and diffuse. The floor‑arm lamp version consists of a single suspended lantern, Extra Large type. The support rod is in brushed oiled‑black steel. The leather band to which the lighting body is attached continues down to the base, covering the rear of the steel upright. The base is composed of a semi‑gloss black Marquina marble circular slab, surmounted by a balancing metal block. The marble base is edged with a sheet‑metal trim. All the metal parts of the base are in satin bronze‑burnished finish. The Xi lamp collection includes various types. They are unique pieces obtained by glass‑blowing from the Master glass‑makers of Venice using coloured molten glass. Any colour variations and small air bubbles are due to the artistic glass processing and should therefore be considered fine‑craft details that make each piece a unique, unrepeatable item.
