Othello | Rectangular table
The solid ash supports have the presence of a geometric sculpture. In contrast, the top is soft and curvilinear, available in light, semi-transparent smoked glass that enhances the architectural solidity of the supports, or in marble in various finishes. A distinctive feature of the Othello table is the wooden structure with a triangular, sharp-edged section, echoed in the diamond-cut detailing along the perimeter of the tops.
Concept and design
The series of Othello tables is inspired by the meeting of pure and natural materials. The charm of expertly processed wood combined with stone or glass makes all decorations superfluous. With the Othello collection, Roberto Lazzeroni revisits the constructive rigour of 1950s and 60s Italian design.
