Tito Agnoli

Peruvian-born architect Tito Agnoli (1931–2012) worked extensively as an industrial designer in Italy. Twice nominated for the Compasso d’Oro, his collaboration with Poltrona Frau produced commercially and critically successful models defined by structural intelligence.

Born in Lima (Peru) in 1931, he graduated in architecture in Milan. He works mainly as an industrial designer. He was an assistant to Ponti and De Carlo at the Faculty of Architecture in Milan and taught at the Istituto d’Arte in Lissone. He has been nominated twice for the Compasso d’Oro award and was awarded the gold medal at Neocon in Chicago. He started working with Poltrona Frau in 1974, designing models that have been very successful commercially.
